TITLE

This property presented a construction challenge--to minimize intrusion on a steep and sensitive site beneath a redwood grove. The collaboration between Summit Builders, Kenneth Holder Designs and architect-of-record Crome Architecture, minimized soil disruption by gently stepping the house up the site using a glass bridge to link public and private pavilions.

To make the most of minimal direct daylight, a soft composition of large window walls and long ribbon skylights was employed to dramatically cast the ever-changing sunlight down the interior walls.
